The brief

A characterful venue space in Deptford – cast-iron columns, exposed brick and big open floor – where the floor needed real presence and the toughness to cope with busy nights.

Work completed

The full floor area sanded, with careful edging around every cast-iron column and fixed feature, colour applied for a rich amber tone, and multiple coats of gloss lacquer built up for a mirror-like finish.

Challenges overcome

Structural columns and fixed features to work around, while achieving an even colour and a flawless high-gloss surface – gloss shows every imperfection, so preparation has to be spot on.
