Floor Repairs & Board Replacement

Lifting, re-fixing and replacing boards so the floor is sound before it's sanded.

Overview

A great finish starts with a sound floor. Before sanding we deal with whatever the floor needs – boards that rock or squeak, sections cut up for plumbing or electrics, split or damaged boards, and patches from old repairs. Where boards have to come up, they are lifted carefully, joists checked, and the boards re-laid or replaced so the floor can be sanded as one continuous surface.

  • Loose and squeaking boards secured
  • Damaged and split boards replaced
  • Old plumbing and electrical cuts made good
  • Repairs blended in before sanding
  • Extends the life of your floor

FAQs

Floor Repairs & Board Replacement questions

Can you match my existing boards?

In most cases, yes – we source matching timber in a similar width, thickness and grain so repairs blend in once the floor is sanded and finished.

Can you fix squeaky floorboards?

Usually. Squeaks are generally caused by boards moving against nails or joists; we re-fix them securely before sanding.
