Floor Staining & Whitewashing

Stain your floor to any colour from samples – from whitewashed pine to deep charcoal oak.

Overview

Staining changes the whole character of a room. We can stain your floor to a colour of your choice from samples we provide, using only the best products available, and we'll help you see how a colour looks on your own timber before you commit. Popular choices range from whitewashed and pale Scandinavian tones on pine, through warm golden and amber tones, to dark walnut, charcoal and near-black finishes on oak.

  • Colour chosen from samples
  • Whitewash and pale tones for pine
  • Rich amber, walnut, grey and charcoal options
  • Unifies repaired or mismatched boards

FAQs

Floor Staining & Whitewashing questions

Can I see the colour first?

Yes – we provide samples so you can choose, and we can apply test patches so you see the colour on your own floor.

Can you whitewash a pine floor?

Yes, whitewashing is a lovely way to keep pine light and fresh and stop it ambering. It's one of the finishes we offer.

Can pine be stained dark?

It can, but pine absorbs stain unevenly, so preparation and technique matter. We'll advise honestly on what will look best on your boards.
