Stair Sanding

Treads, nosings and risers sanded by hand and with compact detail sanders.

Overview

Stairs can't be sanded with a big belt machine – every tread, nosing and edge needs detail work. We use compact machines such as the Bona Mini Edge, which supports stair sanding, along with hand sanding for the tight spots against spindles and walls. Once the carpet, gripper rods and staples are out, the timber underneath is often far better than people expect.

  • Carpet grippers, staples and paint removed
  • Compact detail sanders for every tread
  • Finish matched to your hallway floor
  • Natural, stained or painted riser options
